Vacant Position - NIDOE Scretariat London

Position Vacant – full-time or part-time
Executive Secretary – Up to £ 300 per week
(subject to experience)

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic person as Executive Secretary for the Secretariat of Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE) which will be based in London.

Key Responsibilities will include:

1.     Supporting and assisting the Board of Directors under the direction of the Chairman

2.     Administering the office generally under the direction of the General Secretary/Chairman

3.     Managing the Members’ database

4.     Typing and coordinating reports, minutes, and all management information

5.     Basic booking under the direction of the Director for Finance (Treasurer)

6.     Keeping all records of the organisation in the most organised manner and as instructed from time to time.

7.     Reporting to the Chairman

Personal specifications

1.     University Degree or similar higher educational qualification

2.     Excellent  spoken and written English and numeracy

3.     Good computer skills in particular database, word processing and spreadsheet

4.     Excellent communication & telephone skills

5.     Good clerical and organisational experience and ability to work with no or minimal supervision

6.     Willingness to learn and adapt to change, self-motivation and some amount of diplomacy

7.     Appreciation of confidentiality
